I have always had a love for all things sport and fitness. From a young age, I competed in many sports – Surf Club, Swimming, Hockey and Netball. It was in high school that I discovered my passion, Rowing. I excelled in the sport, where I represented NSW and Australia, at both a State and National level. My greatest achievement is representing Australia at the Junior world Championships in Linz, Austria in 2018. Through my rowing experience, I was afforded the opportunity to impart my expertise to younger athletes by becoming a Rowing Coach and further studied a Bachelor of Physical Education. In 2011, I hung up my oars, finished my studies and moved into a career as a PE Teacher. During this time, I also worked as the ‘Head of Rowing’ and ‘Rowing Coach’ for 5-years before transitioning to a permanent Rowing coaching position at PLC Sydney in 2016. After many years of being an elite athlete, I discovered CrossFit in 2012 and it was here I found my perfect balance of strength, conditioning and healthy competition. My passion for coaching and helping people, overflowed into CrossFit and in 2016, I became a CrossFit Coach. I love being part of a community who share my love and values for health and fitness, as well as being able to support people on their health journey.
It is through CrossFit that I was able to understand the importance of working all areas of health and fitness and not having just one strength. Throughout my time in this field, I have had many learning experiences and shifting perspectives, from focusing on competing and trying to accomplish the most technical skills, to my current perspective which is training for general health/ fitness and longevity.
I love helping people become the best version of themselves. I thoroughly enjoy coaching people from a wide range of backgrounds, ages and experience as well as being part of the journey in seeing members enter the gym each day and leave being better than they were when they walked in.
